| Abstract: | Looking at the field of educational psychology, one can observe that there is a variety of research programs applying quantitative as well as qualitative research approaches. Despite the predominant quantitative research tradition in educational psychology, it is important to remain open to research alternatives. The challenge is to solve the methodological shortcommings of the qualitative research approach, otherwise the question remains whether this approach will indeed prove to be one of those alternatives. |
