| Abstract: | In this thesis, the added value of the "Access Control Metamodel for Web Service-Oriented Architecture" by Emig et al. is analyzed. This model is a welcome addition to the existing authorization models for use in a Web Service-Oriented Architecture, since it handles the authorization decision for orchestrational service compositions. A security flaw was found that undermines the purpose of the Access Control Metamodel for Web Service- Oriented Architecture. The conclusion is that possible security vulnerability and the lack of support for choreographical service compositions make the model not mature enough for productional use. |
