| Abstract: | What are the cognitive processes involved in information problem solving and how well are students doing when they search the WWW for information? To study these processes different methods can be used, like thinking aloud or cued retrospective report using students eye-movements as cues. When studying these processes it is useful to take into account students’ invested mental effort. In this presentation also the methods that can be used to measure mental effort while students (learn to) search for information on the WWW will be discussed. |
