Abstract: | In this study, Mark en Henry’s Theory of Evaluation Influence is tested in an analysis of a constructed pathway of evaluation influence. The pathway is derived from steps in the discourse analysis of Hajer and consists of the mechanisms responsiveness, policy discussion and deliberation, coalition formation and policy adoption. The analysis of the pathway in two cases regarding the influence of incident evaluations suggests the pathway does not reflect the real way in which policy is influenced. More research is needed though. |
