Abstract: Abstract In the past decennia, much research has been conducted in the field of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) and types of Person-Environment fit like Person-Organization (P-O) fit as its antecedent. Person-Job (P-J) fit has not been studied often in its role as an antecedent. Context specific OCB has only been studied limited. This study focuses on the relations between P-O fit and P-J fit and Service Oriented (SO)SOCB. Using self reports of 123 employees in service delivery sector, the findings of this study show a significant effect of P-O fit on SO-OCB, but show no effect of P-J fit on SO-OCB. Focusing on the subscales of SO-OCB it shows that P-O fit affects the dimensions of loyalty and participation and that P-J fit affects the dimension of service delivery. Controlling for age, job tenure and work location revealed that only age has an effect on SO-OCB. Job tenure did not affect SO-OCB on the contrary to what was assumed, neither did it have a moderating role in the relation of P-O and P-J fit with SO-OCB. Implications of this study and suggestions for future research are also discussed.
