Abstract: DojoIBL (Suarez, Ternier, Prinsen & Specht, 2016) is an open source implementation for inquiry based learning that enables users to structure inquiry processes. Students can use DojoIBL to collaborate and to have a clear structure of their own inquiry activities. The DojoIBL platform enables teacher to structure any kind of learning process based on activities like: inquiry-based learning. DojoIBL works in formal contexts, like the classroom, as well as informal contexts as the teachers and the students can use it on their smartphones, laptops or tablets. DojoIBL is suited to enact collaborative processes with small or large group of students. The Mobile Messaging component and the Mobile Notification component feature quick communications channels among students and teachers and increase awareness of the group progress. DojoIBL can be downloaded to host your own DojoIBL cloud. However, students and teachers can make use of the existing DojoIBL platform available in https://dojo-ibl.appspot.com/.
