Abstract: In this presentation Steven reflected on three instances where his Masters' students dealt with designing practice-based research, and the difficulties they encountered. How do you design research that is both academically sound and useful in everyday practice? Most of the students in the OUNL's Master of educational sciences are teaching professionals who want to perform research that is relevant to their practice. How do you gather knowledge that is grounded in specific practice but still applicable in other contexts?
